The Provost Guard Unit holds 10 regular meetings throughout the year. Beginning in 2006 the January and February meetings will be suspended. However, the Unit is very much active throughout the year serving the Potentate at the various functions. In addition to the various assignments the Unit holds regular social functions. These include dinners, picnics, and other fun events.

The Provost Guard Unit also holds membership in the Mid Atlantic Shrine Association Provost Guard. The Unit has had several of its members hold the position of Colonel. The MASA conventions are held twice a year. One in the spring, usually in the Colonel's home area, which is for the Provost members of MASA. The second is usually held in September and designated by the Mid Atlantic Shrine Association for all member units.

Overall the unit enjoys the feeling of being able to serve the Potentate and Shrine in this important role.
